Data Privacy Statement
We are delighted at your interest in our website. The protection of your private sphere is of great importance to us. The following is intended to provide you with extensive information on the way we deal with your data.
Storage of access data in server log files
You may visit our web pages without providing any personal details. We merely use so-called server log files to store access data, such as, for example, the name of the requested file, date and time of call, transmitted data volume, as well as the querying provider. These data are then analysed exclusively to assure an uninterrupted page operation and to improve our offering and do not allow us to draw any conclusions with regard to you personally.
Data collection and use for contract handling and during the opening of a new customer account
We collect personal data that you voluntarily communicate to us within the scope of your order, when establishing contact with us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. The data to be collected is evident in the individual input forms. We use your communicated data for contract handling and for processing your queries. Once the contract has been fully processed or your customer account has been deleted, your data will be blocked against further use and deleted following the expiration of the fiscal and commercial retention periods, unless you have explicitly consented to a further utilisation of your data or we have reserved the right to use your data for additional purposes, which are legally permitted, and of which we inform you in the following. Your customer account may be deleted at any time, either via a message to the below-described contact or via a function provided for such purpose in the customer account.
Data transfer for contract fulfilment purposes
For contract fulfilment purposes, we forward your data to the dispatch company commissioned with the delivery, should this be necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods. According to the individual payment service provider you select in the ordering process, we forward the payment data collected for such purpose to the credit institute commissioned with the payment and, where applicable, our commissioned payment service provider or the selected payment service, for payment processing purposes. The selected payment service providers sometimes collect such data themselves, provided you create an account there. In such case, you need to use your access data to register with the payment service provider during the ordering process. The data privacy statement of the individual payment service provider applies in this respect.
Data use when subscribing to the e-mail newsletter
Should you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the data required for this purpose or separately communicated by you in order to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter in accordance with your consent. You may cancel the newsletter subscription at any time, either via a message to the below-described contact or via a link provided for such purpose in the newsletter.
Data use for postal advertising and your revocation right
We also reserve the right to store your first and last names, your postal address and – should we have received such additional information from you within the scope of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, your date of birth, as well as your occupational, branch or business designation - in consolidated lists to be used for our own advertising purposes, e.g. for sending interesting offers and information on our products via letter post. You may revoke the use of your data for such purposes at any time via a message to the below-described contact.
In order to enhance your visit to our website and to allow specific functions to be used, we use so-called cookies on various pages. The latter are small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted once the browser session ends, i.e. once you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and allow us to recognise your browser during your next visit (persistent cookies). You may configure your browser in such a way that you are informed of the setting of cookies and are then able to decide whether or not to accept them on a case-by-case basis or to generally reject them. The functionality of our website may be restricted in case of non-acceptance of cookies.
Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for purposes of web analysis
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a Google Inc. web analytics service (www.google.de). Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods allowing your use of the website to be analysed, such as, for example, so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files stored on your computer. The information generated on your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it is then stored. Activating the IP anonymisation on this website causes the IP address to be curtailed prior to transmission within the Member States of the European Union or in other Contract States of the Treaty on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA in exceptional cases where it will then be curtailed. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data by Google.
You may prevent the capture and transmission of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
As an alternative to the browser plugin, you may click on this link to prevent capture by Google Analytics on this website in future. An opt-out cookie will then be deposited on your end device. Should you delete your cookies, you need to re-click on the link.
Use of Facebook social plugins when using the Shariff solution
Our website uses social plugins (“plugins”) from social networks. In order to increase your data protection when visiting our website, the plugins are not unrestricted, but are instead merely integrated in the page when using an HTML link (so-called “Shariff solution” from c‘t). Such integration ensures that no connection is yet established with the provider servers of the individual social networks when calling a page of our website including such plugins. Clicking on one of the buttons opens a new window to your browser and calls the page of the individual service provider, on which you may, for example, press the Like or Share button (after possibly entering your login data). The purpose and scope of data collection as well as the further processing and utilisation of your data by the providers on their page, as well as your rights and setting options to protect your private sphere in this respect, may be found in the providers’ data protection information: Facebook data privacy
Valuation reminder from Trusted Shops
Should you have given us your explicit consent during or after your order, by activating a corresponding checkbox or clicking on a button provided to this end, we will transmit your e-mail address to Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15c, 50823 Cologne (www.trustedshops.de), to enable the latter to send you an e-mail reminding you of the possibility of submitting a valuation of your order. Such consent may be revoked at any time, either via a message to the below-described contact or directly to Trusted Shops.
Right to information and contact
You have a right to obtain free information on the personal data we have stored on you, as well as a right to correction, blocking or deletion of such data. For any queries relating to the collection, processing or utilisation of your personal data, for any information, correction, blocking or deletion of data, as well as any revocation of granted consents or objection to a specific data use, please contact us directly via the contact details in our imprint.
