Ceterra 70R: Technology that inspires
- Fundamental bass foundation: The interplay of two powerful 190 mm high-end low-frequency drivers and a generous, flow-optimized bass reflex design generates dynamic, dryly contoured low-frequency reproduction with an authoritative presence. The titanium voice coil formers, the unique, radially reinforced rubber surrounds, and the FEA-optimized magnet system ensure powerful dynamics and unadulterated detail.
- Airy mids with vocal brilliance: The Ceterra 70R integrates two special 120 mm high-end midrange drivers for open and transparent midrange reproduction with organic flow. They also use a titanium voice coil carrier and the FEA-optimized magnet system to achieve maximum impulse fidelity and clarity of detail.
- Enclosure architecture: The 38 mm thick HDF walls and the front, which is inclined by a few degrees, physically correct any differences in running time between the drivers. The side “gills” are a real visual highlight.
- Crystal-clear highs without any harshness: A 19 mm high-end tweeter with patented phase plug design and solid neodymium magnet system (Symmetrical Drive SD-2) delivers the finest nuances and brilliant high-frequency reproduction without the slightest tendency toward harshness.
- Decoupled crossover section: The two crossovers in the Ceterra 70R are housed in a hermetically sealed chamber to prevent any interference from cabinet resonance and air pressure fluctuations.
- Perfected signal processing: The use of vibration-free coils and audiophile Z-Cap film capacitors results in precise, high-resolution, and absolutely distortion-free sound reproduction.
Thanks to state-of-the-art drivers, a meticulously developed crossover, and selected high-end components, the Ceterra 70R offers a sound image with exceptional depth of detail, explosive dynamics, and holographic spatiality. Its construction and fine-tuned sound ensure reference-class performance at any volume level.

Frequently asked questions about the CETERRA 70R
Sound - What are the sound highlights of the CETERRA 70R?
The sonic highlights of the CETERRA 70R high-end floorstanding speaker include:
- Flawless mids: Seamless connection to the fundamental tone; instruments sound authentic and unbroken.
- Explosive high frequencies: Physical, direct, and “weightless” reproduction without acoustic sharpness.
- Richly tonal bass: High definition and control without masking the midrange.
- High dynamics: Intensive and effortless mapping of fine and coarse dynamic jumps.
- Realistic spatiality: Credible depth gradation that accurately scales the recording space.
- Direct character: Crisp, clearly defined sound with very direct response.
Speaker placement – What are the important aspects to consider when setting up the CETERRA 70R?
There are only a few key points to consider when setting up the CETERRA 70R high-end floorstanding speaker, as we have designed the product to be particularly easy to set up. These are, in particular:
- A recommended wall clearance of 20–50 cm, depending on the spatial conditions
- Setup in a classic stereo triangle, which can also be more acute. This means that the speakers can be closer together than the seating position is distant.
- Slightly turning the speakers toward the listening position (approx. 5-10 degrees) for ideal soundstage imaging
Placement close to the wall – How far away from the wall should the CETERRA 70R be placed?
We recommend a minimum distance of 20 cm from the wall for this floorstanding loudspeaker. Values of 30–50 cm have proven to be ideal.
Room size - What size room is the CETERRA 70R floorstanding speaker suitable for?
The CETERRA 70R can comfortably fill listening areas ranging from 30 sqm to 60 sqm with sound.
Small rooms - Can I also use the CETERRA 70R in small rooms?
The CETERRA 70R Black Edition is not ideal for use in rooms smaller than 30 square meters, as the speaker's bass performance overwhelms the room. This results in noticeable booming. We therefore recommend that you switch to the future, smaller models in the Ceterra series.
Subwoofer – Can I use the CETERRA 70R with a subwoofer?
This is possible, but not absolutely necessary due to the high low-frequency performance of the CETERRA 70R. It would be useful in very large rooms over 60 square meters or as part of a home theater system.
Home theater - Can the CETERRA 70R be part of a home theater set??
The CETERRA 70R can be used as a front speaker in a home theater system. Currently, no classic home theater variants such as center speakers are available for the CETERRA series.
Delivery – What shipping method is used for the CETERRA 70R?
The CETERRA 70R is delivered by our partner shipping company as a pair standing upright on a half pallet. Shipping is free of charge within Germany.
Delivery weight – How heavy is the CETERRA 70R and can I carry it on my own?
The CETERRA 70R weighs approx. 41 kg when packed. We recommend that two people carry the speaker.
