- Fundamental bass foundation: Two impulse-fast 160-mm high-end woofers with phase plugs, housed in a precisely tuned bass-reflex enclosure, form the foundation for an astonishingly deep, tightly controlled low-frequency response starting at 35 Hz. Thanks to lightweight titanium voice coil carriers and the FEA-optimized magnet system with precision-fit copper components, the Ceterra 50R delivers remarkable linearity, explosive fine dynamics, and absolutely clean detail reproduction.
- Airy mids with vocal brilliance: A dedicated, high-end 120-mm midrange driver with a phase plug, titanium voice coil former, and FEA-optimized drive system gives the Ceterra 50R impeccable linearity and impulse response. The result: voices and instruments sound exceptionally detailed, airy, and with a fascinatingly natural flow.
- Enclosure architecture: The 38 mm thick HDF walls and the front, which is inclined by a few degrees, physically correct any differences in running time between the drivers. The side “gills” are a real visual highlight.
- Crystal-clear highs without any harshness: A 19 mm high-end tweeter with patented phase plug design and solid neodymium magnet system (Symmetrical Drive SD-2) delivers the finest nuances and brilliant high-frequency reproduction without the slightest tendency toward harshness.

There are only a few key points to consider when setting up the CETERRA 50R high-end floorstanding speaker, as we have designed the product to be particularly easy to set up. These are, in particular:
- A recommended wall clearance of 20–40 cm, depending on the spatial conditions
- Setup in a classic stereo triangle, which can also be more acute. This means that the speakers can be closer together than the seating position is distant.
- Slightly turning the speakers toward the listening position (approx. 5-10 degrees) for ideal soundstage imaging
Placement close to the wall – How far away from the wall should the CETERRA 50R be placed?
We recommend a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall for this floorstanding loudspeaker. Values of 20–40 cm have proven to be ideal.
Room size - What size room is the CETERRA 50R floorstanding speaker suitable for?
The CETERRA 50R can comfortably fill listening areas ranging from 15 sqm to 40 sqm with sound.
Small rooms - Can I also use the CETERRA 50R in small rooms?
The CETERRA 50R is not ideal for use in rooms smaller than 15 square meters, as the speaker's bass performance overwhelms the room. This results in noticeable booming. We therefore recommend that you switch to the future, compact models in the Ceterra series.
Subwoofer – Can I use the CETERRA 50R with a subwoofer?
This is possible, but not absolutely necessary due to the high low-frequency performance of the CETERRA 50R. It would be useful as part of a home theater system.
Home theater - Can the CETERRA 50R be part of a home theater set??
The CETERRA 50R can be used as a front speaker in a home theater system. Currently, no classic home theater variants such as center speakers are available for the CETERRA series.
