As a slim floor-standing speaker, it has the potential for one or the other open mouth. With a width of only around 15 cm, she has a particularly elegant silhouette. It only shows its impressive muscles when you let it sound. The high-end woofer - very elaborately separated already at an unusually low 100 Hz - is absolutely not to be located and is therefore not perceived as a player. Nevertheless, it produces an extremely deep, dry bass and really gets into the mood with organ works by Bach.
The midrange-woofer fills the upper bass range and the deep voices cleanly and rich in detail. Due to the elaborate tuning and the slim front, the action completely detaches from the speaker and conjures up a fascinating spatiality in your living room. This multi-tested and excellently rated floorstanding speaker disappears in front of your inner eye and offers immediate and authentic access to the soul of your music - even if you only listen quietly.
The crowning touch is provided by the high-end tweeter, which reproduces the upper octaves sharply, but never shrill or pointed. Cymbals, triangles or high harmonics of a grand piano pearl into the room at lightning speed and lively. The Three offers an absolutely long-lasting, impressive listening experience in small rooms, by the way, even for home theater fans.
Enjoy this high-end floorstanding speaker as a "wolf in sheep's clothing". Slim and elegant in a small footprint with a more than impressive performance.
With the AYERS Three and the quite familiar concept of a laterally positioned subwoofer, we have succeeded in creating a real masterpiece that is certainly one of the best of its kind.
The Three forms the low bass with an 18 cm high-end long-throw woofer, whose membrane is made of fiberglass-reinforced paper as standard. In this way, an impressive low frequency response is achieved down to the 20 Hz region. For the lateral position, it was important to really avoid any kind of sound radiation that would make the driver locatable. We succeeded by using an extremely elaborate filter with an effective slope of 24 dB at 100 Hz.
For a floorstanding speaker in this price range, the Three is thus far above the market level.
The 12 cm midrange-woofer driver again takes over from 100 Hz and reproduces the upper bass range and low voices. It is also equipped with a fiberglass-reinforced paper cone and an aluminum die-cast basket, and is effectively filtered at 24 dB and 18 dB.
At around 750 Hz, the high-end silk dome tweeter enters the fray. Its size of 30 mm and the special tuning of the crossover allow this early transition. This crossover frequency is ideal for the spatial imaging and phase addition of the speakers. Also with the Three, the sound image appears absolutely holographic, also due to the narrow front. The goal of a wide dispersion pattern is achieved, so you get a spatial sound image even outside the ideal listening position. The tweeter's precision-coated textile cone allows for excellent high-frequency dispersion up to above 20 kHz.
Like all crossovers of the AYERS series, the Three was developed computer-aided with a real data simulation and optimized with regard to linearity, phase addition, distortion behavior of the drivers and the sound image typical for INKLANG. Based on the calculated crossover design, a Monte Carlo simulation was performed in step two to calculate a reduction of the crossover components with identical results. A reduced number of components lowers the losses of the crossover and allows to invest the cost savings in a higher component quality.
The Three keeps a separate, airtight chamber for the crossover, in which the components are free from any pressure change of the active housing chamber and are therefore not excited to vibrate.

Music is more than a pleasant background noise.
To say it in advance, in the service desert of Germany, Inklang is more than just an oasis. [...] The delivery was faster than expected. Very well packed and without any blemish. I could not help it and just put the Ayers Two and put on a record. Wow....what might that sound like when they are properly set up and played in?
Here also the consultation in the run-up to my order (Ayers Three) is to be emphasized. A question is just entered online and not a few minutes later the answer appears. You just have a great feeling how you are perceived as a potential customer, and not somewhere in a waiting loop of a call center sour...
