Spotify Lossless – now in HD 10 Stream Connect.

After a long announcement, Spotify is now closing the gap with Spotify Lossless for streaming without data reduction at up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz. Our HD 10 Stream Connect is now capable of playing Spotify Lossless. This addresses a key criticism of Spotify's offering, as the provider had previously only offered its content in the significantly inferior MP3 format up to 320 kB.

Considering that CDs already delivered higher quality in 1982 – over 40 years ago – this was no longer really understandable given the more powerful 4G and 5G mobile networks and higher bandwidth of Internet connections.

To enjoy the new lossless format, connect your Spotify app to your hi-fi device as usual to play music, then go to Settings, Media Quality, and then Lossless.
