Difference from AYERS Five – What is the difference between the AYERS Four and the AYERS Five?
The AYERS Five differs significantly from the AYERS Four mainly in the size of its woofers and thus in its deep bass potential and maximum volume, which is higher in the AYERS Five.
We recommend using the AYERS Five in rooms of 30 sqm and more.
The AYERS Four feels comfortable in listening areas of 15 to 40 sqm.
The midrange and tweeter unit of both models is identical, so there are no differences in this regard.
Wireless Version – What is the difference between the passive AYERS Four and the wireless version?
The wireless version of the AYERS Four differs from the passive version as follows:
- The wireless version is an active speaker, equipped with 4 DDFA power amplifiers, each providing up to 400 watts of system power.
- Each driver is powered by its own amplifier. An external amplifier, as required with the passive version, is no longer necessary.
- The wireless version receives the music signal via a digital radio signal, known as the KleerNet standard (not Bluetooth).
- The digital music signal is transmitted without loss.
- Unlike the passive version, the frequency distribution to the woofers, mid-range drivers, and tweeters is not handled by a crossover network, but by a digital signal processor (DSP) that processes the music signal at up to 192 kHz/24 bit.
Speaker Placement – What are important aspects for placing the AYERS Four Passive Plus?
There are only a few key aspects for placing the AYERS Four Passive Plus floor-standing speaker, as we designed the product to be particularly straightforward in its placement.
These include:
- A recommended wall distance of 15 – 40 cm depending on the spatial conditions.
- Placement in a classic stereo triangle, which can also be narrower.
- This means the speakers can be closer together than the listening position is distant.
- Only a very slight toe-in of the speakers towards the listening position (approx. 5 degrees) for ideal soundstage imaging.
Wall-Near Placement – How far should the AYERS Four Passive Plus be from the wall?
We recommend a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall for this floor-standing speaker.
Ideal values have been found to be between 20 – 40 cm.
Room Size – What room size is the AYERS Four Passive Plus floor-standing speaker suitable for?
The AYERS Four Passive Plus can comfortably fill listening areas from 15 sqm up to 40 sqm.
Large Rooms – Can I also use the AYERS Four Passive Plus in large rooms?
If your room is larger than approximately 40 sqm, we recommend switching to the larger model, the AYERS Five.
Due to its larger membrane area, it can assert itself better.
Alternatively, you can also combine the AYERS Four with the AYERS Sub.
Freed from the bass frequencies, the AYERS Four can achieve a higher maximum level.
Subwoofer – Can I use the AYERS Four Passive Plus in combination with a subwoofer?
You can very well combine the AYERS Four Passive Plus with a subwoofer.
Even though the AYERS Four can reproduce surprisingly deep frequencies in the 30 Hz region for its size, adding a subwoofer, like the AYERS Sub, is attractive for lovers of intense deep bass.
In this context, we recommend combining it with an integrated amplifier that has active bass management.
Home Cinema – Can the AYERS Four Passive Plus be part of a home cinema set?
The AYERS Four Passive Plus can be part of a home cinema set as front speakers.
For a complete home cinema set, we recommend adding the AYERS Center and the AYERS Sub.
The AYERS Wall or AYERS One, for example, can be used as surround speakers.

"Plus" Designation – What does "Plus" mean in the name of the AYERS Four Passive Plus?
Some time ago, INKLANG upgraded the passive crossovers at the sound-relevant points with audiophile film capacitors.
Since then, the models have carried the "Plus" suffix.
Delivery – Which shipping method is used for the AYERS Four Passive Plus?
The AYERS Four Passive Plus is delivered as a pair, standing on a half-pallet, via freight forwarding by our partner freight forwarder.
Shipping is free within Germany.
Delivery Weight – How heavy is the AYERS Four Passive Plus, and can I carry it alone?
The AYERS Four Passive Plus has a packaged weight of approximately 27 kg.
Depending on your fitness level and the distance you intend to carry the speaker, you may be able to carry it alone.
However, we recommend moving the speaker with two people.
