Sound Adjustment – Can I adjust the sound of the AYERS Sub Slim Wirless HD for its intended use or my taste?
A total of three room EQs are available for this purpose, which affect the deepest frequency ranges. In addition to the Flat (standard) setting, the "HiFi" room EQ is available for music, and "Home Theater" for home cinema use. The lowest cutoff frequency of approximately 25 Hz is achieved in the "Home Theater" setting.
Phase Adjustment – Is a variable phase adjustment available for optimal integration?
The AYERS Sub Slim Wirless HD features a variably adjustable phase setting to optimally integrate the subwoofer with your satellite speakers. Unlike many other subwoofers that only offer a zero or 180-degree toggle switch, bass cancellations or imprecise interaction with the satellite speakers are avoided by a freely selectable phase.
External Bass Management – Can I bypass the filter unit of the AYERS Sub Slim Wirless HD?
This option exists. A toggle switch is available that allows you to bypass the filter of the AYERS Sub Slim Wirless HD. Bass management will then be handled by your AV receiver or amplifier.
Automatic Power On/Off – How does the AYERS Sub Slim HD turn on and off?
In wireless mode, the device is turned on and off using digital control commands. For wired analog operation via a music signal. As soon as the subwoofer does not receive a music signal for more than 20 minutes, it switches off. This is particularly attractive for home cinema, as the AYERS Sub Slim Wireless HD does not switch off prematurely even during longer bass-free dialogues.

The filter unit of the AYERS Sub Slim Wireless HD is built entirely analog with a slope of 24 dB/octave. Therefore, there are no time delays in the signal chain of the AYERS Sub Slim Wireless HD.

The AYERS Sub Slim Wireless HD does not offer this on its own, as experience shows that room calibration of all speakers in a chain, including the satellite speakers, is sensible and necessary for a good overall result. AV receivers/amplifiers have comprehensive calibration methods such as DIRAC Live, which also calibrate the subwoofer.

The addition stands for our change in enclosure material from MDF (medium-density fiberboard) to HDF (high-density fiberboard). Due to its higher density, HDF has greater internal damping and mass. While MDF is the proven standard, HDF further enhances the performance of your speaker in terms of precision and purity. This has an effect on the bass range, making it even drier, faster, and more precise.
Sound Transmission to the Floor – Is the AYERS Sub Slim's enclosure particularly low in vibration?
The integrated decoupling of the AYERS Sub Slim Wireless HD from the floor and its sealed enclosure significantly reduces enclosure vibrations. The optionally available spike feet further significantly prevent the transmission of remaining vibrations.
Down-firing Subwoofer – What does down-firing subwoofer mean?
The AYERS Sub Slim HD is referred to as a down-firing subwoofer because its woofers are recessed into the bottom of the enclosure. This means the AYERS Sub Slim "fires" its music signal downwards.

As a relatively small subwoofer and due to its achievable maximum level, we recommend the AYERS Sub Slim HD for small rooms up to approximately 25 sqm or as a subwoofer for small apartments. If larger rooms (from 25 sqm) are to be filled with sound, we recommend using the larger AYERS Sub Wireless.
