Technology of AYERS Two Wireless HD
- Precise control for pure sound: The AYERS Two Wireless uses high-precision DDFA power
amplifiers (Direct Digital Feedback Amplifier) for direct driver control, which guarantees
virtually distortion and noise-free playback.
- Dynamic and detailed playback: The DDFA technology continuously compares and controls
the input and output signal, which enables an enormous dynamic range with minimal
distortion (110 dB signal-to-noise ratio with a THD+N of < 0.01 % at 20Hz - 20kHz).
- Powerful bass and clear mids: The 18 cm long-throw woofer with glass fiber cone and
aluminium basket produces deep bass down to 28 Hz. The optimized ventilation of the
magnet system minimizes compression noise.
- Spatial imaging and excellent high-frequency performance: A 30 mm silk dome tweeter and
active DSP filtering ensure excellent high frequencies up to 20 kHz and a perfect spatial
sound stage.
- Digital precision and protection of electronics: A digital signal processor replaces the crossover for precise filtering (24 bit/192 kHz). At the same time, the DDFA power amplifiers are protected against air pressure in a separate housing chamber.
- High performance and lossless signal processing: The AYERS One Wireless offers 250 watts of power per speaker through two DDFA power amplifiers and high-resolution, lossless signal processing for impressive sound precision.

Product name - What does the addition of HD in the product name mean?
The addition stands for our change in enclosure material from MDF (medium-density fiberboard) to HDF (high-density fiberboard). Due to its higher density, HDF has greater internal damping and mass. While MDF is the proven standard, HDF further enhances the performance of your speaker in terms of precision and purity. This has an effect on the bass range, making it even drier, faster, and more precise. Furthermore, the depth and stability of the spatial imaging are further enhanced.
Music – What kind of music is the AYERS Two Wireless HD bookshelf speaker suitable for?
Our large wireless bookshelf speaker is suitable for any type of music style or genre. Due to its good speech intelligibility, it is also attractive for TV audio playback.
Difference from AYERS One Wireless – What is the difference between the AYERS Two and the AYERS One Wireless?
The AYERS One Wireless differs from the AYERS Two in the size of its woofer and thus in its deep bass performance and maximum volume. The AYERS One Wireless is to be preferred if your listening room is, for example, 10 – 18 sqm.
Speaker Placement – What are the placement options for the AYERS Two Wireless HD?
There are various placement options for the audiophile AYERS Two Wireless HD bookshelf speaker:
- In a shelf with a minimum depth of 420 mm.
- On a sideboard with a minimum depth of 420 mm.
- Low on a lowboard with the corresponding lowboard foot.
- Freestanding on the matching speaker stand.
- You can adapt the speaker's sound profile to your placement and room using the selectable room EQs (Free, Wall, and Dynamic) on the amplifier module.
Wall-Near Placement – Can I place the AYERS Two Wireless HD very close to a wall?
Yes, you can place the bookshelf speaker very close to the wall. For this purpose, we have explicitly placed the bass reflex port on the front of the speaker enclosure. This prevents booming or bass loss with close placement in a shelf and allows for very wall-near placement. You can also easily adjust the sound profile to the placement situation using the selectable room EQs (Free, Wall, and Dynamic) on the amplifier module.
Room Size – What room size is the AYERS Two Wireless HD bookshelf speaker suitable for?
The AYERS Two Wireless HD is a large compact speaker and can comfortably fill rooms up to 40 sqm.
Large Rooms – Can I also use the AYERS Two Wireless HD in larger rooms?
Placement in larger rooms is only possible to a limited extent due to the design-related maximum volume level. If you describe yourself as a "low-volume listener" and only listen to music at low to medium volumes, we consider rooms up to approx. 50 sqm suitable.
Subwoofer – Can I use the AYERS Two Wireless HD in combination with a subwoofer?
You can generally combine the AYERS Two with a subwoofer. However, due to the deep bass potential of the AYERS Two, which reaches down to the 20 Hz region, it is not strictly necessary in our opinion. If used, the subwoofer should be able to play significantly lower than 30 Hz to provide added value. Regardless, a combination in a home cinema application makes sense.
Power Supply – Is it possible to operate the AYERS Two Wireless HD without a power connection?
No, the AYERS Two Wireless requires a 230V power connection for operation. Battery operation is not provided for these products.
Connections – What connection options are available on the large, active AYERS Two Wireless HD bookshelf speaker?
The AYERS Two Wireless HD offers a variety of connection options:
- Wireless input with wireless, digital, and lossless signal transmission in combination with the HD 10 Stream Connect.
- Wired via analog input for connecting a preamplifier with an RCA signal cable.
- Wired via optical digital input for connecting a streamer or preamplifier that has volume-controlled optical digital outputs.
- Wired via coaxial digital input for connecting a streamer or preamplifier that has volume-controlled coaxial digital outputs.
Wireless Operation – Can I also operate the AYERS Two Wireless HD wirelessly with other streamers?
The wireless operation of the AYERS Two is only possible with our HD 10 Stream Connect. Other preamplifiers or streaming preamplifiers can be used when connected via cable.
Wireless Operation Distance – How far can the AYERS Two Wireless HD be from the HD 10 Stream Connect?
With a direct line of sight between the HD 10 Stream Connect and the AYERS Two Wireless HD, there is a range of up to 10 meters. If the connection is interrupted by walls, this is reduced to approximately 4 meters.
Integrating the 2nd Speaker – How does the music signal reach the second speaker in digital wired operation?
If your streamer or preamplifier does not have two volume-controlled digital outputs, you can loop through the digital music signal (optical or coaxial) from the digital outputs on the amplifier module to the second speaker. Corresponding digital pass-through outputs are available for this purpose. An optical or coaxial digital cable is required.
Number of Amplifiers – Are both AYERS Two Wireless HD speakers equipped with an amplifier?
Yes, both speakers in a pair are active and each is equipped with two DDFA amplifiers. This means each speaker features powerful bi-amping. A system output of up to 250 watts is available.
Power On/Off – How do the power amplifiers of the AYERS Two Wireless HD turn on and off?
In wireless mode, the AYERS Two Wireless HD receives a digital on/off command from the HD 10 Stream Connect. In wired operation, the power amplifiers automatically turn on when a music signal is present and turn off when no signal is detected.
Direct Connection of Source Devices – Can I connect a turntable, TV, or CD player directly to the AYERS Two Wireless HD?
This is not intended. For connecting external source devices, please use the HD 10 Stream Connect, which then wirelessly transmits the music signal digitally to the AYERS Two Wireless. The HD 10 Stream Connect offers 4 analog and digital inputs, including HDMI ARC. Alternatively, you can connect a preamplifier to the AYERS Two Wireless via cable.
Bluetooth – Can I stream directly to the AYERS Two Wireless HD via Bluetooth?
No, this is not possible. The AYERS Two Wireless HD and its accompanying HD 10 Stream Connect are part of a high-res structure that operates via "network streaming." They receive their high-resolution music data directly from the internet. The music data is transmitted immediately to the HD 10 and not (as with Bluetooth) first transmitted to the mobile phone. If needed, a Bluetooth connection is available on the HD 10 Stream Connect, but it plays a qualitatively subordinate role.
Scope of Delivery – Are power cables included with the AYERS Two Wireless HD?
Yes, these are included as standard and can be configured in the following lengths: 0.5 m, 1.0 m, 1.8 m, 3.0 m, and 5.0 m. They can be selected in different lengths for the left and right speakers.
Delivery – Which shipping method is used for the AYERS Two Wireless HD?
The AYERS Two Wireless HD is shipped individually as a parcel by our partner DHL Paket. Shipping is free within Germany.
