AYERS Sub: Technology that inspires
- Musical deep bass reproduction: The subwoofer was developed to enable not only deep
frequencies, but also precise and spatial sound reproduction.

Sound – What are the sonic highlights of the active AYERS Sub?
The sonic highlights of the active AYERS Subwoofer include:

Music or Cinema – Is the active AYERS Subwoofer suitable for music and home cinema?
Yes, the AYERS Sub is suitable for both music and home cinema use. The AYERS Sub was developed with a focus on achieving the most precise bass reproduction possible with high fine dynamics, making it an ideal companion for demanding music listeners. These virtues are equally attractive for home cinema, as order is not lost even during large action scenes.
Sound Adjustment – Can I adjust the sound of the AYERS Sub for its intended use or my taste?
A total of three room EQs are available for this purpose, which affect the deepest frequency ranges. In addition to the Flat (standard) setting, the "HiFi" room EQ is available for music, and "Home Cinema" for home cinema use. The lowest cutoff frequency of approximately 22 Hz is achieved in the "Home Cinema" setting.
Phase Adjustment – Is a variable phase adjustment available for optimal integration?
The AYERS Sub features a variably adjustable phase setting to optimally integrate the subwoofer with your satellite speakers. Unlike many other subwoofers that only offer a zero or 180-degree toggle switch, bass cancellations or imprecise interaction with the satellite speakers are avoided by a freely selectable phase.
External Bass Management – Can I bypass the filter unit of the AYERS Sub?
This option exists. A toggle switch is available that allows you to bypass the filter of the AYERS Sub. Bass management will then be handled by your AV receiver or amplifier.
Automatic Power On/Off – How does the AYERS Sub turn on and off?
The subwoofer is turned on and off via the music signal. As soon as the subwoofer does not receive a music signal for more than 20 minutes, it switches off. This is particularly attractive for home cinema, as the AYERS Sub does not switch off prematurely even during longer bass-free dialogues.
Delays due to DSP Filters – Do DSP filters cause time delays in playback?
The filter unit of the AYERS Sub is built entirely analog with a slope of 24 dB/octave. Therefore, there are no time delays in the signal chain of the AYERS Sub.
Room Calibration – Is room calibration possible for the AYERS Sub?
The AYERS Sub does not offer this on its own, as experience shows that room calibration of all speakers in a chain, including the satellite speakers, is sensible and necessary for a good overall result. AV receivers/amplifiers have comprehensive calibration methods such as DIRAC Live, which also calibrate the subwoofer.
Sound Transmission to the Floor – Is the AYERS Sub's enclosure particularly low in vibration?
The special design of the AYERS Sub, where the two active subwoofers are mounted back-to-back on the side panels, leads to a complete cancellation of the woofers' motion impulses (impulse compensation). This means the AYERS Sub's enclosure no longer transmits vibrations to the floor and is absolutely low in vibration.
Connection Option – What connection options are available on the AYERS Sub?
The amplifier module of the AYERS Sub offers a mono and stereo RCA connection. Depending on the equipment of your AV or stereo amplifier, you can input a summed mono signal (1 RCA plug) or a stereo signal (2 RCA plugs left + right) into the amplifier module.
Room Size – What room size is the active AYERS Subwoofer suitable for?
The AYERS Sub can easily be used for rooms up to 50 sqm. If larger rooms are to be filled with sound, we recommend using two AYERS Subs.
Delivery – Which shipping method is used for the AYERS Sub?
The AYERS Sub is shipped individually as a parcel by our partner DHL Paket. Shipping is free within Germany.
Delivery Weight – How heavy is the AYERS Sub, and can I carry it alone?
The AYERS Sub has a packaged weight of approximately 28 kg. Depending on your fitness and the distance you intend to carry the subwoofer, you may be able to carry it alone. However, we recommend moving the subwoofer with two people.
